Prof. Afaq Ahmad
Modern College of Business and Science, Muscat
Prof. Afaq Ahmad is a distinguished academic and researcher with over 47 years of experience in industry, research, and higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and advanced degrees in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), India.
Prof. Mohamed Battour
A'Sharqiyah University, Oman
Dr. Mohamed Battour is a Professor at the College of Business Administration, A’Sharqiyah University, Oman, Editor of jurnal of islamic marketing (Q1) with extensive experience in research, teaching, and academic leadership. He is an expert in Islamic marketing, halal tourism, destination marketing, and customer relationship management, with over a hundred publications in peer-reviewed and high-impact journals. Dr. Battour also serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Q1 Journal of Islamic Marketing and has contributed to advancing knowledge on how Islamic values and cultural context shape tourism, consumer behavior, and business practices. His work bridges academic research with practical insights, making a significant impact on both scholarship and industry practices in Oman and beyond.
Prof. Rakesh Belwal
Professor, Sohar University, Oman
Dr. Rakesh Belwal is a Professor in the Faculty of Business at Sohar University, Oman, with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and consultancy across India, Ethiopia, Australia, and Oman. He holds a Ph.D. in Internet Marketing of Tourism and specializes in services marketing, e business, consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, and public transport studies. At Sohar University, he has held leadership roles including founding Coordinator of the Executive MBA program and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business. He has published numerous peer reviewed and Scopus-indexed articles and has led applied research projects in Oman, including industrial-waste data inventory initiatives and social-science contributions to NASA-supported coastal research. Dr. Belwal also provides professional training to government and industry officials, blending academic insight with practical impact.
